This is the "sucky-lip" face Finn makes when he's teething - no new teeth yet!

Ear-okay

Our second visit to the audiologist put our fears to rest. Although Finn still has “some middle ear disfunction” ie. fluid in his right ear, the audiologist doesn’t think he has any hearing loss. Yay!!

I'm 7 months old

I eat “solid food” twice a day now. I eat barley, oatmeal, avocado, banana, squash, sweet potato, pear and apple. I still don’t like rice cereal. I find sweet potato rather distracting – the orange colour peaks my creative juices and I prefer to paint with it rather than eat it. I make pseudo chewing motions with my gums while processing my food.

I went through a phase of biting Mummy while I nursed. I have hopefully giving this up for good.

I don’t like sitting up much anymore – I prefer to lunge forward and end up on my tummy – sometimes on my knees. I stick my bum in the air a la inchworm. I can pivot around to find a toy I want and move perhaps a centimeter forward to reach it- further than that and I get frustrated and let people know it.

Nananana, Dadadada, and Nadada are my favourite “words” – Mamama is so last month.

I am the most hilarious baby on the planet – too bad very few people seem to get my sense of humour.
