After proclaiming 2012 to be the year we get chickens in our Christmas newsletter - I needed to get me some chickens! Luckily we found a coop on Kijiji and just after Easter, Finn and Andrew drove out to a farm and picked up 3 ladies. They are all about 5 months old. Henrietta is an Orpington, Gwendolyn (the one Andrew is holding in the above photo) is a Wyandotte and Easter Egg (named by the kids) is an Easter Egger (a mixed breed that lays light green eggs).
